One of the questions I get regularly: should I wear my jade bangle on my right wrist, or my left wrist? Which wrist is best for wearing a jade bangle bracelet?
Your left wrist is closest to your heart, and if you wear jade the traditional way for wellness and qi balance, then the left wrist is the best wrist for a jade bangle bracelet.
In the past, only wealthy women could afford to have jade bangle bracelets. And wealthy women didn't have to work for a living. But in our modern every day living, wearing your jade bangle bracelet on your dominate arm could expose it to more possibilities for damage.
So take that into consideration when deciding which wrist to wear your jade bangle on.
And you do need to decide which wrist you want to wear your jade bangle on before you purchase a jade bangle bracelet. That's because most women's hands and wrists are not the same size. And a few mm size difference can make a big difference how your jade bangle fits.
I personally wear my every day jade bangle all the time on my left wrist, because I like it closer to my heart and my left is not my dominate wrist. Since I wear jade for health and wellness, when I need a different color of jade for balancing my qi, I wear either a jade pendant with the qi energy, or wear another jade bangle on my "other" wrist. Sometimes I even wear two jade bangles on the same wrist, with a gold "spacer" bangle between.
For example, when I travel I want to wear deep deep green "black" jade for protection, both physical safety and from contamination. So I either wear a black jade pendant, or one of the Chinese jade "black" jade bangles on my right wrist.
If you are a jade bangle lover, you might want to wear more than one jade bangle at a time, so you can wear two or more on the same wrist. Be careful because if they hit each other just right (what I mean is "just wrong!) they may crack or break. I like to wear a "spacer" to protect them. I have two 24K gold slender bangles I sometimes wear between the two bangles. But I prefer to wear a jadeite beaded stretch bracelet between two jade bangles. The natural color of the jadeite beads "goes" with almost any color of jade you have.
And looks and feels awesome.
Super blog and beautiful bracelet!! Love the charms you have used!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. Younger Chinese women in China love jade, but don't want to wear the jade bangle like "Grandma wears". So they like a more modern way to wear jade.
ReplyDeleteI bought a nice jadeite bangle for myself here in Thailand. I really love it. Im wearing it on my non-dominant hand which is the same wrist i wear my watch on. Love that musical sound it makes when it touches the watch.
ReplyDeleteThey say that if some harm is to come to you then the jade bangle will break thereby keeping the injury from happening to you yourself. i like that sentiment.
Love your bangle BTW. What is the carving of?
The musical sound is called "chiming". The finer the grain of the jade stone, the higher the "chime". The sound is also a signal to your brain, raising your endorphine level, and helping you to be mindful. I've heard many stories from people who wear jade about how their jade protected them. If you wear genuine, natural jade, and it breaks for "no reason", examine what's been going on around you because the jade may have taken a blow that was meant for you, like accident, heart attack, stroke...something that could have caused injury to you. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe carving on my personal jade bangle in the photo is bamboo, symbol of flexibility and withstanding difficult situation, and a bat, symbol of happiness. The jade stone, color and symbolism is wonderful to me.
I wear green jade bracelet on my left wrist when I need protection or relief from mental stress. And then for luck and finance assist I wear my same bracelet in right hand wrist.
ReplyDeleteCan I wear pixui gold bracelet black at right hand
ReplyDeleteWear it on the wrist that feels be qi energy for you. Left is usually related to heart, right is often related to protection.
ReplyDeleteCan i wear jade bangles in my left arm with watch?
ReplyDeleteYes. A good combination.
ReplyDeleteI love jade bangles. As a Chinese never really appreciated it until I am older as it was such a common site but I am so grateful to online as it has enabled me to collect jade bangles of different colours from Myanmar, to Australia to Guantamelan jade and the thing i love most about jade bangles is that its like a landscape painting it has its own moods and clouds and nuances, no 2 are alike. I have a name for each of my bangle e.g. apple or sun, moon lake because it has 3 colours and others its like mount fuji green with lavender frost and I have one with orange dots that reminds me gold fish in a lake and another like the paintings of Monet's watercolour lilies - it never ceases to fascinate me for hours as I wear a different bangle every day -its like my toys. and all thanks to the internet which makes my vast collection of different shape and sizes possible. I usually wear my jade bangles on my left hand so as not to break it as I am right handed. But most of the time I wear on both hands as i can't decide which one to wear as they are like my beloved pets - must take turns to show each one off to the world - definitely do not want it to be locked up from the eyes of the world, as they are so beautiful and fascinating. I am more in love each day and so glad to be born in this internet age which allows me to have the finest collection in the world.
ReplyDeleteHi, im a newbie here, do jade beads bracelet and jade bangle have the same effect to our body? Or jade bangle is more.. Thank you in advance.
ReplyDeleteJade is jade, jade beads, pendants and other products have the qi energy and it doesn't matter the form. However, pendants have qi energy regarding their symbols, too.
ReplyDeleteCan I wear my jade bracelet on the same wrist as my protective bracelets or with any other stone
ReplyDeleteYou can wear your jade on the wrist that feels "right" for you. And if other bracelets feel "good" next to it, then the qi energy is good for you.
