Jade Bangle Bracelets at Twilight: Lavender Jade

I walk most evenings at sunset.  It's good exercise while unwinding at the end of the day.  When I look at the sky, it's so blissful and uplifting.  Today was the first day in quite awhile we didn't have rain, and it was hot 89 degrees while I was walking.  The half moon was shining in a sky that was truly gorgeous. I took a photo with my iPhone:

Lavender color has qi energy for intuition, wisdom, spirituality.  And natural color grade A jadeite has the most beautiful color, so much better than color treated.  The lavender color may not be "dramatic" and the entire jade piece lavender, but natural color jade has the qi energy to give you the good feelings.

How Did Your Jade Look During the Solar Eclipse?

Yesterday morning prior to the Solar Eclipse, a long time customer purchased an old  mine Burmese jadeite bangle bracelet she had been looking at for months, maybe years.  Talk about an auspicious time to purchase jade!  She always asks to have the jade energetically cleansed and filled with good qi energy. 

It was almost time for the eclipse here in central Florida.  We were in an area where we would get 85% of the eclipse, but it was also cloudy during the eclipse time.  I took the jade bangle outdoors in the natural light to do a Reiki cleansing and qi filling.  I also put some of my personal jade bangle bracelets on my wrist, then some of the other old mine Burmese jadeite bangle bracelets.    Husband was monitoring the eclipse progress scientifically, and I monitored it energetically.  When he said it was about half way, the "evening animals" started their sounds, their nature music.  And I marveled at the good "glow" in the jade.

The "old mine" jadeite it refer to is Burmese jadeite I purchased in China prior to the jadeite embargo of "all things jadeite that was mined in Burma".  Most of the purchases were made when I traveled south in China close to the Burma border, and bargained, bought them directly from jade carvers.  I could see the jadeite rough they used,  as genuine and natural, and since I purchased so many at a time, the bargaining experience established a small business relationship, often ending with a traditional tea ceremony.  Most of their jadeite rough was purchase prior to the year 2000, in the past century, and this kind of jade is rarely available now.  At that time I was still working a "real job", and took every dollar I saved up during the year to spend on jade in China when I went for my shopping trip.   So I still have quite a few from that time, which is rare for jade sellers to have this kind.

What makes it special compared to today's more modern jade is the translucence.  The newer jade does have beautiful color, but is made slightly more sturdy, inside to outside more jade in the bangle bracelets, because today's modern woman is active, works, and needs more jade substance than the empresses and concubines of the Dynasty eras. So even if the modern jadeite has some translucence, it's not as obvious because of the thickness of the piece.

It has soft color, yin (the best kind of jade for women) soft green, and translucence.  I bought this one for myself, it's my size, and I purchased two because they were so pretty.  This is one I took outside during the eclipse.

And yes, the jadeite bangle bracelets seemed to have a special energy, a glow, during the eclipse. 

And I think I still have a "glow" inside from being present in it, with all the lovely jade.

Should I Buy a Jade Bangle Bracelet? Yes, and Here's Reasons

I've been wearing my vintage, old carved jadeite bangle bracelet during these hot summer months.  It's not a real "green" jade, it's subtle, "smokey", but the carving is symbolic of how I want to feel.  This week I was going through inventory of pre-2000 older Burmese jadeite bangle bracelets, to choose some to add to the web site. When I opened one of the packets, I actually got shivers all over.  You would think I would be used to being around jade all the time, that it wouldn't have any effect on me,   and that's why it's my passion because I never get tired of it.  The packet contained an old mine jadeite bangle bracelet that didn't seem like it was special.  And it's about 2mm smaller than my usual size, so it was difficult to put on my wrist.  I continued going through the jade bangles, and when I got done, I started to take it off.  My wrist and knuckles were still swollen from putting it on, and I had to leave it on.  I noticed that it seemed to look different.  The green veins were more obvious and it was already getting the "glow" that good, older and more translucent jadeite gets as you wear it.  And I noticed that the area that made it look pale and and not like a special jade bangle bangle now looked like a "cloud".  And I felt peace and serenity through myself, body mind and spirit.

I have a significant inventory of unlisted old mine jadeite bangle bracelets.  But I also have a drawer full and jewelry stand amoire full of jade I kept for myself.  And I was feeling guilty about keeping another one for myself.  It has a value of $800-1200, and keeping it would be like "buying" it, so I can understand how customers feel about questioning if they should buy a jade bangle, or another jade bangle.

Want to Wear a Jade Bangle Bracelet, but Can't Wear One? Jade Bead Bracelet Option

Over the almost 20 years selling jade and helping women (and men) find their best jade bangle bracelet, I have worked with some people who just cannot wear a jade bangle bracelet.  Usually it's for health reasons.  Maybe the bones on hands and wrists are changing.  But they want to wear jade on their wrist.

An option is to take your jade bangle to a jeweler and get it cut, and fastener added so it opens and closes.  One problem is finding a jeweler who will do that.  Another problem is someone who doesn't carve jade for living may break the jade bangle.  And another reason is the Chinese belief that when a jade bangle bracelet is broken, all the qi and good luck go out of it.  I have felt broken jade bangle bracelets, and they really do feel different, "dead". Why People Wear Jade: Wisdom and Compassion

Politics throughout the world seem to be in turmoil, especially in USA.  I wish I could send every politician, the leaders and congress people, jade with soft lavender, perhaps some white "cloud" veins, and a few green veins for "yang" (deeper color).

Lavender jade color has qi energy related to the central inner meridian of the body.  The five main meridians, lung, heart, liver, kidney and spleen, are Chinese medicine body functions, and there is emotional qi included.  The inner circle meridian is related to emotions, especially wisdom and compassion. 

I listed a Burmese jadeite bangle bracelet grade A with certificate of gemology testing a few weeks ago, but was torn because I love it.  Although it's not my size, too large, I often held it while meditating.  The energy was so profound for me, and my compassion increased.  And amazingly, it would "glow" when I "returned" from meditation mode.  It didn't change color, but has a subtle inner glow.  There are several jadeite bangle bracelets with the lavender qi energy of wisdom and compassion listed.  We try to capture that "glow" when taking photos, but that just doesn't happen.  However, #8524 was photographed after holding it awhile, meditating, and some of the "glow" is visible.

There's  a more "yin" softer color "wisdom and compassion" qi energy jadeite bangle bracelet that's the "old mine" jadeite, mined around the year 2000.  BB2579 was purchase when I was shopping in China near the Burma border in 2003.  The photo doesn't show how beautiful it really is because it's been in storage a long time.  I would buy all the jade bangles I had money for, and the ability to take back to USA when I went shopping in China, and still have some from "way back" that I haven't listed.

Why Can't I Find My One Perfect Jade Bangle?

I am never without one of my jade bangle bracelets on my wrist.  Except for when I get my once a month massage.  I don't want my jade bangle to be in the way of my massage therapist.  She has worked on me for several years, knows what my body needs, and works so smoothly a hard jade bangle bracelet seems out of place. 

And of course massage changes your body.  Your muscles, tendons and qi points get a good workout.  When I came home and got cleaned up, ready to put on my jade bangle bracelet, it didn't seem to be "the right one".  I went through my collection and the one that felt "just right" was one of my favorites.  The qi energy is very yin, they symbols of bats, lotus and bamboo felt meaningful and the old, old age of it felt comforting.

Customs searching for a jade bangle often ask questions, advice and help choosing.  Some spend weeks, months, until they decide on "the perfect jade bangle bracelet".   I know they want to receive it ASAP so I ship the same day if possible by priority mail so it can be on their wrist within 2-3 days.  They usually love it, and wear it all the time.  Then, a few months later, they find another one they like.  And they ask: "why can't I find my one perfect jade bangle bracelet?"  

Because you, your body change every day.  The energy that attracts you to a certain piece of jade is because it will be helpful to you now, like "medicine".  But as you change, so do your desires for jade. 

But, yes, you certainly can wear the same jade bangle bracelet every day, all the time, if it feels right for you and you have no desire to change.

And yes, if you choose another jade bangle bracelet, you will probably find a time in your life when one you have but are not wearing will feel "just right" for you again.
